What'd you expect? Those nincompoops are Adams' Vogons incarnate.
It's really just the combination of inherent laziness on the part of Unions to hold their teachers to a standard and the fact that most of these teachers are hopeless ideologues who impress upon their students a radically leftist view.
They're not taught civics, so they don't understand how their country works. They're not taught history, outside of drek from authors like Howard fucking Zinn, so they don't know the context for anything. They're not taught English, so they dont now how 2 fuking spel and they're not taught economics, so they don't know how money works.
All they're taught is that they're all super-special-awesome and should be given a gold medal just for being who they are and that they're entitled to everything in the world.
I'd be truly surprised if this was on purpose on part of the government.
You look at the government and see a vast, clever shadow organization run by an ancient order.
Me? All I see is big, dumb dinosaur that has yet to notice that someone is standing on its tail.
